jim bourey

jim bourey’s poetry has been published in Mojave River Review, Gargoyle, Double Dealer, The Broadkill Review, Blue Nib, Rye Whiskey Review and other journals and anthologies. He is a contributing editor for the Broadkill Review and his poetry book reviews regularly appear in that journal.

His working life included banking, industrial sales, car sales, movie theater management, plumbing and heating wholesale management, and production control in a steel forging factory. Since retiring he has devoted himself to the study of poetry. He has been an adjudicator for the Poetry Out Loud program in Delaware and has also participated in several Art/Poetry projects in Saranac Lake, NY. He is a frequent participant in poetry reading events.

He lives, with his wife Linda, at the edge of a river, near the northern border of the Adirondack Park, though they do return to Delaware to avoid some of the harsher winter months. jim can often be found reading aloud in dimly lit rooms.
