Bill Pieper, who lives and writes in Sacramento, California, has been a Sierra rat, a desert rat and a Pacific Crest Trail hiker for much of his life. He’s also listed as a notable alumnus of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers. His work has received two Pushcart Prize nominations and won a national award from Scratch Writer magazine. Over thirty of his stories, including the majority of this collection, have appeared in The Front Porch Review, Red Fez, Chiron Review, Corvus Review, Blue Moon Review and elsewhere.
